Greetings! I'm Coach Hebold, and I know that if you're visiting this site, you may be interested in playing basketball at Oak Hill. Allow me to introduce myself and tell you a bit about my background in basketball...
I have coached collegiately as an assistant at both Oakland University and the University of Michigan. I have been on both sides of the recruiting scene (as the recruiter and the recruitee) and I am experienced in helping to develop basketball skills and techniques in serious players of all ages.
I played and coached in South America and Europe. I served as head coach of the National Teams of Denmark and Luxembourg. In Denmark, I also ran the Federation's Elite Training Center in Aarhus. Many Danish players I trained have played collegiately here in the States. In Austria, I was the coach of one of the top professional teams in the Austrian Bundisliga and I was selected as one of two head coaches of the annual All-Star game. I have authored a basketball book of drills and techniques (ISBN 87-87048-69-8), published by the Danish Sports Federation (Danmarks Idraets-Forbund) and the FLBB (Federation Luxemborgoise du Basketball).
I have personally coached a number of NCAA scholarship players (University of Oregon, University of Rhode Island, Iowa State, Iona, Fairleigh Dickenson, Oakland University, University of Michigan, Northwestern, Loyola Maryland, Chaminade, Saginaw Valley State, Michigan Tech, Erskine, Bowling Green, DePaul, UNC-Asheville), as well as professionals in Europe; so I know what the "next level" looks like, and what it takes to be successful there.
